wolf spider 2

this is a female spider from the family Lycosidae which means shes a wolf spider! :]. female wolf spiders make superb mothers. she warps her egg sac in a protective silk and then with a water proof silk after she finishes this she will attach it to her spinnerets (the organs at the tip of her abdomen that make silk) and carries it around with her until the spiderlings hatch. if she happens to lose the egg sac during travel she will search for it until she finds it. after the spiderlings hatch they crawl on to the mothers abdomen and she carries them around. :]]
